Call of Spring

after morning rain
raindrops still linger
glistening in new sunshine

now only hushed mountain air
faint whispers of morning sounds
soften my day & spirit

music fills my heart
overflows my thoughts
catching my falling breath

I'm blinded but find my way
I walk only by the call
of spring!

Life's Mask

life is heavy now
I live among my long lost
heart ache years
traveling a waiting journey
in both time and happenstance
finding out whether or not
a love returns
or wanders some audacious path

Running To Catch the Sun

when your days go too quickly by
without the singing of any lullaby
you know you got to go
on down the road
when you loose who you know
or even who you are
going somewhere
anywhere
down the road
down the road

I'm running to catch the sun
to catch the sun
running to catch the sun

Sunrise to Sunset

fight & loss
living onward
finding my way again
           for heaven's sake

what am I made of?
how strong am I?
           one day's
                       journey lasts
                                          a lifetime
tomorrow
will be a Big Day' ~

I have this moment
I have now
I have all the way from

  sunrise             to                    sunset

my daily prayer
God bless me today
and at the hour
               of my passing
                           love & win
                                    living onward

Spring Snow

I gave you my hand
It was the only chance to
Spend time with you
Watching all the blooms
Showing off their
Many colors of spring
Now weighted down with
New Spring snows
Growing weary to hold on
To the hope of spring

Tent City

A Collection of my Poetry ~ haiku, tanka

don't you see
it's only me
playing
underneath my
dogwood tree

spring rains
lake Ann's waters rise
flooded docks
a boom to now green trees
blooms of redbuds & pink dogwoods

along cream white shorelines
torn from this winter bed
surfacing to the great sky
climbing thru mighty earth
to touch the stars

sustain me
lean into me
see me for just me

I Rise

IN MEMORY FOR BOSTON ~
April 15, 2013

I rise
To plead the
Innocence of the day

As I wait in rosary prayer
For decisions yet untold
And possibilities unfolding

I rise
To kiss this morning's breath
I rise
To kiss this day's new dawn
I rise
To hold God's eternal grace

Today's first new pink dogwood bloom on our newly planted dogwood tree.

Runaway Time Stops For Sharing With @dVersePoets

Sharing with @dVersePoets This Fourth Tuesday of April
During OpenLinkNight Pub

Our souls yearn
For a long reprieve
Times of silence and solitude
In the presence of one another
Where we may escape

Sharing only the now
Instead of days spent in
Planning and worry
Problem solving and the
Perplexities of how's and why's

Relishing the sheer
Joy of just being alive

Rejoicing
Believing
Knowing

We can pause ~

There shall be a
Forever place
Where we can go
One we can travel to
And   always   find   it   already   there
Just waiting for us to walk
Such a treasure trove
Through open doors

Oh, give me the morning dew
Golden fields of sunshine
And shaded hillsides
One-lane country roads and
Covered bridges
Surrounded   in   wild   lavender   meadows
All stretching free
As far as the eye can see

Do you hear me my dears?
There are such places
Where our spirit touches
The Divine

Within us such a spirit dwells ~
A Love ~
A Forever Always!

A Limestone Postscript written for @dVersePoets this 2nd Tuesday of April

Spring soaked earth, twigs and grass
And I ~ walking out upon my day
Glancing down with each careful step

I find nature playing along the hill sides
Within the white limestone trails
Tracing time in lyric and rhyme

Found among lands laid to waste and fill
Holding the shoreline at bay
A postscript note sent by special delivery

A most sweet surprise
Like a great flash upon a new horizon
A painting from yesteryear

Fairy tales and unicorns prancing along a forest trail
Joined by two love birds, swooning swans
Butterflies and feather dust trails

Oh, what a magical find I made
I see you and you see me . . .
Looking back at once upon a time
